How a call is made to a mobile phone?




  1. Mobile's RCC sends a call initiation request along with subscriber MIN and number of called party.
  2. BTSs' RCC receives call initiation request and MIN, ESN, Station Class Mark.
  3. MSC receives call initiation request from BTS and verifies that the mobile has a valid MIN-ESN pair.
  4. MSC instructs FCC of originating BTS to move mobile to a pair of voice channels.
  5. Mobile's FCC receives page and matches the MIN withits own MIN. Receives instructions to move to voice channel.
  6. BTSs' FCC page (transmits MIN) for called mobile, instructing the mobile to move to voice channel.
  7. MSC connects the mobile with the called party on the PSTN.
  8. BTSs' FVC begin voice transmission.
  9. Mobile's FVC begin voice reception
  10. Mobile's RVC begin voice transmission.
  11. BTS's begin voice reception.
